TRAINING FOR YOUTH



First Aid - Responding to Emergencies - Developed for high schools, colleges and universities, this course conveniently fits into a semester or quarter schedule and can be adapted to the school outline. A minimum of 27 hours, this training combines lecture, discussion and simulated emergency situations to teach reliable responses for numerous emergency situations. Students learn about:



Babysitters Training - course provides individuals ages 11 - 15 with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or adult guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism; basic care; safety and safe play; and first aid.







B.A.T. - Basic Aid Training - This 6 hour program is for 7-11 year olds. The objectives are to introduce an awareness of behaviors and actions that could lead to injuries or illness. Provide youth with ways to prevent injuries and first aid skills to respond to injuries if they should occur. Encourage youth to make choices that will influence their health and that of the environment in a positive way. This is a great way for scouts to receive the information to help earn their first aid and safety badges.

F.A.C.T. - First Aid for Children Today - The Critter Clan leads kids through health-promotion and injury prevention activities. Its environmental theme teaches safety in a non-threatening way. Topics include hygiene and health habits, first aid, personal safety and injury prevention. Grades K-3.



Scrubby Bear - This 1 hour presentation is designed for 4-6 year olds to learn the importance and proper techniques of hand washing. The full curriculum is available for purchase.
